Sheinagh Anderson is a vocal and recording artist, composer, educator and visual artist whose focus is transformation. As a vocal artist Sheinagh has performed nationally in multidisciplinary theatre companies, and internationally to great acclaim with the well known Cirque Du Soleil. As a composer she has published and co-produced 3 CD's of her own work. Sheinagh's voice teachings combine both Western classical and Indian classical techniques and are grounded in the Yogic tradition. With a foundational focus on Yoga Vedanta and Nada Yoga, these teachings are specifically for those individuals who wish to strengthen both their voice, by developing vocal skills, and their presence in the world, by cultivating self- knowledge. Transformation through Sound workshops have been developed from these teachings and are toured successfully both nationally and internationally. Sheinagh is currently intensifying her skills as a visual artist, exploring multimedia installation sculpture and painting with the intention of creating environments for contemplation, meditation and the promotion of personal and global transformatsheinaghion.
Spiritual Counsel
As a dedicated yogi cultivating self-knowledge, and an accredited Acharya in the Sampoorna tradition, Sheinagh excels in her ability to counsel others through the lens of Vedanta. Vedanta, a philosophy taught by the Vedas, the most ancient scriptures of India, acknowledges that there are many different approaches to God, and all are valid. The Sampoorna approach encompasses all the paths of Yoga: Karma, Hatha, Raja, Bhakti, Jnana, and Nada Yoga. Sheinagh has dedicated the last 30 years of her life to increasing her knowledge of a variety of spiritual traditions, but her true wisdom comes from devoted yogic practice and the rigorous assimilation of this practice into all aspects of her life, including her musical performances and recordings, her visual artistry, and her teachings.
