Transformation through Sound workshops have been developed from these teachings and are toured successfully both nationally and internationally. Sheinagh is currently intensifying her skills as a visual artist, exploring multimedia installation sculpture and painting with the intention of creating environments for contemplation, meditation and the promotion of personal and global transformatsheinaghion.
Vocal Transformation
Sheinagh's voice teachings combine both Western classical and Indian classical techniques, and are grounded in the Yogic tradition of Nada Yoga; the yoga of sound with roots the Vedas. Nada Yoga is the science of divine vibration…the vehicle for its transmission is Indian classical music in the form of ragas, talas, shlokas, mantras, chanting, kirtan and bhajans. Drawing upon the fundamental use of sound creation through the voice to intensify the practice of meditation, Sheinagh’s one-on-one teachings are for individuals who wish to strengthen their voice by developing vocal skills and their vocal presence in the world, while cultivating self-knowledge. The two classes presently offered are Integrated Voice and Meditation, and Integrated Voice and Self Healing. To book a one-on-one lesson contact Sheinagh.
"Sheinagh is a precious jewel in our community. The depth and richness of her voice crosses boundaries. Most important, it comes from a true place, which she passes on to her students, with a myriad of cultural genre and styles that also include sacred chanting, carnatic music and Sanskrit."
